Living/Aging Well in Douglas County: Seniors' Council November 2016 Mtg

Douglas County is one of the fastest growing counties in the country when it comes to folks 60 and older. What's the best way to be prepared for this growth explosion? Education and communication and that's what the Douglas County Seniors' Council is all about.

Please join us for our next monthly meeting. We meet on the first Thursday of every month (except for July and August). Our meeting venues vary from month to month, but they are always in Dougals County. (This allows for residents across the county from Deckers to Larkspur to Parker and Highlands Ranch to participate!)

Good morning Donna.  I'm well beyond the 60 year mile marker.  However, I am not ready to retire, retire heck I'm just getting my second wind.

This is really helpful information to share with seniors in Douglas County - I agree with James Dray though - I am nowhere near retirement

Hi Donna - these are good things to host.  We have a number in our area.

We have a fast growing Douglas County here in Washington too.  It is right across the river.   We have a dual county senior center that is very active.  These are a great resource for the communities with a growing senior population... which is everywhere, isn't it???

This event is going to come in handy for many local seniors. Great senior resource. Wish there was a group like that in my area.

Hi Donna Foerster - I like this.  We need something like this in Sedona. I think our average age is about 52. This is really a retirement or second home community.

I can tell living and aging well in your community is a lot of fun too! It must be a great place to call home!
