National Prescription Take Back Day - 10/22/16

When was the last time you checked your medicine cabinet, or under the sink, in the kitchen, on your nightstand...for prescription drugs that might be expired? Now is the time to do it! You can take your unused and expired prescription drugs to the Parker Police Department for disposal.* It's doesn't get much easier. You just drive up to the main entrance, drive through and drop off !

 

When: Saturday, October 22, 2016; 10am-2pm

Where: Parker Police Department, 18600 E. Lincoln Meadows Parkway, Parker, CO 80134

 

*CANNOT except: needles and sharps, mercury (thermometers), oxygen containers, chemotherapy/ radioactive substances, pressurized cansisters and illicit drugs.

 

Be sure to share this information with your neighbors. Let's keep Parker safe for our youth, our aging population, our pets, our families and each other.

Wow - I didn't even know this existed. We have tons from everytime they change my husband's meds (which is usually right after we refilled them!)

Hi Donna Foerster - this is great info to share with your community. We need to continue to educate the public that we should never toss expired Rx down the toilet. It may get into the water we drink.

We were actually just talking about this and a shredding event as we can dump about 7 years of files now that have been moved from paper to computer.
