National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day 2012

Do you have unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs? Don’t know what do with them? Most folks think flushing them or just throwing them away is the answer. Both of these options are potential health and safety hazards.
Here’s your opportunity to remove these potential dangerous drugs from your home. Don’t know how to participate. Find a collection site near you.
More than 3945 law enforcements agencies and community partners participate in this event. Last year, the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) collected 377,086 pounds (188.5 tons) of unwanted prescription drugs.
The Parker (Colorado) Police Department, located at 18600 E. Lincoln Meadows Parkway (across from Lowes), will be participating in this event which takes place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 between 10am and 2pm. The service is FREE and anonymous.
Items that CANNOT be dropped off include needles and sharps, mercury thermometers, chemotherapy and radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs.
